VARAZDIN
Stari Grad, as the fortress is called was built in the 15th Century. Originally water from the Drava River was diverted to a mote that surrounded the castle and the town. The old gate house is also well preserved and notable.
TRAKOSCANA mid 19th century castle built on the remains of an earlier 13th century castle is the most visited attraction in the Zagorje district of Croatia. The castle is fully restored and well worth a visit by anyone in the area.
